Renee MacDougall

When Renee J. MacDougall founded Colonial Title with partner Sheryl Stephenson six years ago,
she did more than just start a title company. She set out on her vision for better customer experience
in the industry. Renee wanted to create a company that was
much easier to do business with and resulted in seamless
service to the client. She structures Colonial Title
around teamwork, pairing title processors with
settlement officers so the client has one point of
contact and one team throughout the whole
process. It is this organization that enables
Colonial Title to give superior service
to all its clients.

Renee says she enjoys the diverse demands
of business leadership, and it certainly shows.
After recieving a bachelor's degree in finance and
international economics from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in real estate finance from Columbia University, Renee worked for LaSalle Partners, a real estate consulting firm out of Chicago, advising large clients, such as the Pennsylvania Teacher’s Retirement Fund, Merck
and The Four Seasons Hotel Group.

Renee is also very active in the nonprofit arena, even co-chairing the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Ball for two years, managing a committee of more than 100 people and garnering the “Ball of the Year” award. Renee is still involved in many associations and nonprofits including American Heart Association, Sojourner House, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, Children’s Hospital Free Care Fund, Allegheny Valley Baseball Club, and Pennsylvania Land Title Association (PLTA).
